Bio

Michelle Butler Hallett was born in 1971 in St. John's and grew up in St. John's, Pasadena, Paradise and Conception Bay South, NL. After living in Ottawa for some time, initially to study English at Carleton University, Butler Hallett returned to St. John's in 1999 with her husband to raise a family. Butler Hallett has worked as a tutor, proof-reader, shop clerk, radio writer and comedic radio voice, litmag fiction reader and professional researcher. She lives in St. John's with her husband and children.
