Michelle Butler Hallett was born in St. John’s, NL, in 1971. She studied English at Carleton University in Ottawa and creative writing through the Humber School for the Creative and Performing Arts. Butler Hallett has worked as a tutor, shopclerk and radio writer, and she’s an associate fiction editor with The Antigonish Review. Her short stories have appeared in Canada and the UK. She lives in St. John’s with her husband and children.
